The Foundation for Horizonal Surveys
What if horizons open? What if conventional regulations don't limit? The Horizonal Surveys Foundation provides space beyond established thought patterns, methodological constraints, and disciplinary practice and relies on innovative forms.
Each discipline has its own laws, methodological rules and practice. These have both grown historically and are largely determined by the requirements of our time, culture, society and the current economic system. The focus is on turning points and development opportunities for humanity while illuminating these approaches, which often unnoticed, shape the horizon of a discipline. Horizonal Surveys pays particular attention to neglected fields and topics ― blind spots ― between disciplines. The foundation is aimed at the natural sciences, humanities, literature and art and promotes their communication and collaboration.
Horizonal Surveys operates beyond business-oriented purposes and sees itself as complementary to traditional institutional actors. A central concern is to enable cooperation, to question boundaries and to promote people's respectful attitude towards matter, the cosmos, nature and its beings.
